'Professional until the final whistle … then we Drink' (Marjon Rugby, 2013)

About

Marjon Rugby Football Club is a student based club affiliated to the University of St. Mark and St. John in Plymouth. We are a self run and self funded club which consists of two teams both competing in the British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCs) leagues. The University have some of the best facilities for Rugby in the South West, with a New full size 3G synthetic match compliant pitch on Campus.

The club trains as a whole squad on both Monday and Friday evenings (times tbc), and play there fixtures on a Wednesday afternoon. There is an opportunity for all players to also play on a Saturday for the community club, Plymouth Marjon RFC, to which we are closely connected.

Whilst as a club we take training and competing in all competitions very seriously we also make sure we have a good time from a social perspective! Regular social events run every Wednesday night with bigger, themed social thrown in at regular intervals.

Varsity is a big time for the Club; where both teams partake in the battle of the season against Plymouth University, our local rivals. The 1st XV gets the opportunity to play at Plymouth Albions ground, Brickfields, in front of a sell out hostile crowd.

So if your a player get involved with our friendly, social, competitive club or if your a fan of Marjon and Rugby come down and watch us win the league and win varsity

Marjon rfc team.
